Tableau beat out other finalists such as Microsoft, Adobe and
Salesforce.com in its category to win the Stevie Award, hailed as "the
business world's own Oscar" (New York Post, April 27, 2005). Overall, awards
were presented in more than 40 categories to companies of all sizes in
virtually every industry.
"People -- regardless of their technical skill levels -- use Tableau to
gain valuable insights from their data and share those insights across their
organizations. As the amounts of data available to organizations continues to
increase exponentially, visual analytics and collaboration capabilities like
Tableau's are even more crucial to business success," said Elissa Fink, vice
president of marketing for Tableau Software. "This award -- our second
recognition in the past month -- is evidence not only of the need for data
visualization and collaboration tools but also of Tableau's ability to meet
that need. We're grateful to be honored once again by our peers."
Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their
staffs selected Stevie winners from among the Finalists. Business
professionals nationwide chose finalists during preliminary judging in
April and May.
