The World`s Number One Laser Company Debuts Precision Laser Designed for
Veterinarians
SALT LAKE CITY--(Business Wire)--
The CAO Group, Inc., the world`s top diode laser company, today unveiled the
Pilot Diode Laser, an innovative surgical and therapeutic instrument that
represents a breakthrough for veterinary surgical and therapeutic treatments.

Available immediately, the 9W Pilot Diode Laser gives veterinarians a versatile
tool that provides benefits for patients, owners and clinics. The Pilot`s dual
modes and variable settings allow finite control over the amount of energy
applied, making it ideal for the veterinarians` diverse range of patients and
daily surgical and therapeutic procedures. An affordable addition to every
veterinary practice, the Pilot places the newest in technological innovation in
the hands of veterinarians.

The unique Pilot design allows veterinarians to treat more patients with better
outcomes, resulting in increased patient/owner satisfaction, better efficiencies
and higher profits.

"The Pilot laser provides a superior and much less invasive range of therapies,
compared to many conventional methods," said Peter G. Slusser, DVM, DACVIM.

On its lowest settings, the Pilot is gentle enough to use for bio-stimulation,
hemostasis, decontamination, otitis externa and periodontal treatments. At the
highest settings, the Pilot is a superior surgical instrument that handles
similarly to a scalpel. The Pilot incision is precise and blood-free, exhibiting
virtually no thermal damage or inflammatory response commonly associated with
scalpels, electrosurgical and CO2 systems. As a consequence, the Pilot`s beam
also produces incisions which exhibit dramatically reduced healing times with
greatly improved tissue integrity.

The Pilot is extremely effective for common surgeries, including declawing,
neutering/spaying, gingivectomy and other soft-tissue procedures. The
flexibility of the fiber delivery method provides for adaptable positioning,
making the Pilot uniquely compatible with scope-assisted procedures as well.

Additionally, the Pilot Diode Laser is the only veterinary laser with a patented
motorized fiber management cassette. This cassette allows easy extension and
retraction of the nearly 22 feet of flexible laser beam-delivery fiber provided
with the Pilot unit. This allows a practitioner to cut the used fiber tip
following a procedure, and then move to the next procedure without having to add
additional fiber.

"The Pilot is the result of working directly with veterinarians to find ways
that our technology could serve their unique needs," said Dr. Densen Cao, Ph.D.,
President and CEO of the CAO Group. "Surgical procedures and every-day
treatments they perform were two areas of concern that we`ve helped them address
with the Pilot laser."

With its comfortable scalpel-like hand piece design and intuitive controls,
learning to operate the Pilot requires minimal time. Easy to use, portable and
lightweight, the Pilot is perfect for every veterinary practice.
