Direct had announced intentions to leave the California market on August 1,
2009. CPEhr retracts this statement and apologizes for any confusion to
Employers Direct policyholders. While Employers Direct announced it will
cease soliciting new or renewal California businesses on a direct basis
effective August 1, 2009, it has not announced an intention to leave the
California market, and has committed to continue to provide service to its
