IDMI Purchases iDirect Hub to Launch Broadband Service in EMEA and Asia

iDirect adds partner in Lebanon as regions turn to satellite IP networks to
build core communications infrastructure

HERNDON, Va., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- VT iDirect, Inc. (iDirect), a company of

of Lebanon's leading Internet Service Provider, IDM, has launched an
iDirect-based satellite broadband service covering the Middle East, North

IDMI's iDirect-based service provides Ku-band connectivity via the SES New
Skies NSS-6 satellite orbiting over the EMEA region and an iDirect hub
co-located at the Cyta-Makarios teleport in Cyprus. IDMI will initially roll
out services in Afghanistan, Iraq, and East and South Asia, with plans to
expand the network in Africa with additional hubs later this year.
