Embassy Suites Buffalo Opens Doors and Features New One-Room Suite Concept
Former Historic Federal Building in New York's Second-Largest City Transformed
into Sustainable, Luxurious Embassy Suites Hotel
MEMPHIS, Tenn., July 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Embassy Suites Hotels announces
the highly-anticipated opening of the Embassy Suites - Buffalo. Located in
Buffalo's Central Business District, the new sustainable architectural
attraction also boasts the innovative one-room suite concept designed to pack
more room into a smaller space for today's cost-conscious traveler and hotel
developer. The hotel is the brand's first property in Buffalo, NY.
The 182-suite hotel is in the heart of the Chippewa Entertainment District and
is close to the Theatre District and Light Rail train stop. The contemporary,
upscale property will share the fifteen-story building space with The
Residences at Avant, commercial office space and restaurants and covers an
entire city block. The hotel will occupy the first seven floors in the
mixed-use vertical community.
The hotel is owned by UniQuest Delaware, LLC and managed by Brookwood
Hospitality. The building was designed by Steiglitz Snyder Architecture to
transform an obsolete former Federal Building into a magnificently designed
hotel as the newest addition into the Buffalo skyline. Embracing green
construction standards, the builders had the former structure stripped to the
shell and replaced with a dramatic glass curtain wall on the outside providing
decades of energy efficiency.
"We are excited to be at the heart of Buffalo's Renaissance and revitalization
and to be able to welcome leisure and business travelers to our modern,
beautifully and sustainably-designed Embassy Suites while still offering all
the amenities and comforts our guests know and expect," said John Gurren,
general manager, Embassy Suites Buffalo.
"The mixed-use vertical community which is home to our first Embassy Suites in
Buffalo is significant to the brand in many ways. It reflects the flexibility
of our conversion builds while featuring green construction standards and also
showcases the brand's first one room suite, our first new room design in 25
years," said Jim Holthouser, global head of full service brands, Hilton Hotels
Corporation.
The hotel boasts 182 suites with floor-to-ceiling exterior glass walls, a
relaxing indoor pool and whirlpool, a complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast
and evening reception, spacious atrium and fitness centers. Ten suites will
offer in-room whirlpool tubs. Additionally, meeting spaces include
contemporary conference facilities, seven meeting rooms with a combined total
of 6,034 square feet and the Executive Boardroom which seats 12 comfortably.
Embassy Suites Buffalo is within walking distance of financial, government and
entertainment districts, more than 50 restaurants and provides stunning views
of Lake Erie's horizon, the Niagara River and the twinkling cityscape. The
address is 200 Delaware Avenue; Buffalo, NY 14202.
