TiEcon Announces 2008 Entrepreneur Award Winners

DISTINGUISHED PANEL OF JUDGES SELECT THIS YEAR'S MOST EXCITING AND INSPIRING
ENTREPRENEURS

SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 16 /PRNewswire/ -- TiEcon CONFERENCE -- Today,
The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), a global not-for-profit network of
professionals dedicated to the advancement of entrepreneurship, revealed the
2008 award winners during its annual conference, TiEcon, held at the Santa
Clara Convention Center. The awards honor entrepreneurs who have pushed the
boundaries of innovation, quality and overall creativity.
    Award Winners
Manish Chandra, co-convener TiEcon 2008 and CEO, Kaboodle added, "For the
first time we honored outstanding individuals that have achieved incredible
accomplishments that serve as an inspiration to aspiring entrepreneurs of all
types.  The judging process was a difficult one -- with so many qualified
applicants.  We're gratified and excited to honor award winners in five
important categories:  Female, Gen Y, Inspirational, Socially-conscious, and
Renegade."

    Elizabeth Funk, Unitus, for Female Entrepreneur
    Rajeev Goel, PubMatic, for Gen Y Entrepreneur
    Dr. H.P. Jin, TeleNav, for Most Inspiring Entrepreneur
    Robert Heard, CREDANT Technologies, for Renegade Entrepreneur
    Chet Farris, Stion, for Socially-Conscious Entrepreneur


    This awards program is held in conjunction with TiEcon 2008.  TiEcon
Silicon Valley, held this year at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa
Clara, CA on May 16 and 17 is a two-day, action-packed conference dedicated to
entrepreneurs for learning, exploring and networking.  TiEcon 2008 set new
records for attendance and event programs at this year's conference with more
than 4,000 conference attendees.  TiEcon touted A-list speakers such as Peter
