Developed by the University of Texas and conducted by Zogby International, the
poll will be presented by S. Ward Casscells, distinguished professor of
medicine and public health and vice president for public policy at the
University of Texas Health Science Center and former assistant secretary of
defense for health. He will be joined by John Zogby, president of Zogby
International, to explore the results of the largest recent survey of
American attitudes toward health care reform legislation.

The survey was designed to establish the clearest and most up-to-date
understanding of how Americans feel about their health, the future of health
care and legislative options for health care reform.

In addition to Casscells and Zogby, panelists will include Harvard University
health care economist David Cutler; Dr. Gail Wilensky, former head of CMS
(Medicare, Medicaid); Dr. Denis Cortese, CEO of the Mayo Clinic; as well as
Dr. Harvey Fineberg, president and chair of the Institute of Medicine.
Leaders from the American Medical Association, America's Health Insurance
Plans, other trade associations and UT-Houston President Larry Kaiser also
will attend.

The Casscells/Zogby poll reached 3862 respondents and asked more than 100
questions. Zogby also will comment on the political implications of the
results.
