CIGNA Government Services Federal Medicare Contract Awarded Prestigious Quality Management Certification NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(Business Wire)-- CIGNA Government Services, L.L.C. today announced its Durable Medical Equipment Medicare Administrative Contractor (DME MAC) Jurisdiction C federal Medicare contract has been awarded the prestigious International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2000 certification, an internationally accepted quality management system. This recognition is in addition to the ISO 9001:2000 certification awarded to CIGNA Government Services' federal Medicare Part B contracts in 2006. Certifications are for three years. "This award reflects CIGNA's dedication to customer focus and continuous quality improvement," said Jean Rush, president of CIGNA Government Services. "It is that dedication that has helped establish CIGNA as a premier administrator of federal government healthcare programs. I am proud of our company's commitment to quality excellence and I am honored that we have received this certification." The ISO 9001:2000 certification also requires processes that enhance customer satisfaction and ensure continual improvements. Companies are required to pass an exhaustive audit of all quality management processes prior to receiving certification. CIGNA Government Services has provided services to Medicare since 1991.
