AfterCollege Now Tweets Entry-Level Jobs and Internships With TwitterJobSearch
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, Jul 13 (MARKET WIRE) --
AfterCollege has teamed up with TwitterJobSearch to syndicate its
entry-level job opportunities and internships on Twitter. As part of the
collaboration, AfterCollege will send select broad-appeal jobs from its
network to TwitterJobSearch, which will convert the jobs to "tweets,"
short text messages up to 140 characters to be broadcast on Twitter.
AfterCollege jobs will also be indexed and searchable via the
TwitterJobSearch search engine.
AfterCollege is known for targeting employment opportunities to specific
niche audiences through its academic department and student group career
networks. Twitter on the other hand is one of the most highly trafficked
social networks with over 20 million unique monthly visitors. The
collaboration with TwitterJobSearch allows AfterCollege to offer employers
broad social media reach for those job opportunities that require a broad
scope of candidates. "TwitterJobSearch has gained momentum as a top social
recruiting medium in a short amount of time and we look forward to working
with them in distributing our job opportunities via Twitter," said Roberto
Angulo, CEO of AfterCollege. "In this competitive job market, employers
are looking at more targeted means to find new employees and job seekers
are stepping up their networking," said Bill Fischer, co-founder of
TwitterJobSearch. "Since most recent graduates don't have extensive
professional networks, we're pleased to be working with leading platforms
like AfterCollege to help recruiters and recent college grads maximize
their recruitment efforts through the smart use of social media."
Employers can take advantage of this expanded reach by posting their
entry-level jobs and internships to:
