NDR exercise site.
Keynote: Mr. Rex A, Whitacre, Chief, IT Operations, IT Directorate,
Federal Emergency Management Agency, Department of Homeland
Security, will deliver the keynote address at the AT&T
Business Continuity Forum at 10:00 am. He is responsible
for directing and coordinating all disaster IT enterprise
infrastructure activities.
Activity: AT&T Business Continuity Forum: will draw hundreds of
government and business leaders and will include forum
participants and sponsors such as Cisco Systems, EMC, and
Juniper. AT&T speakers include Kevin R. Peters, Executive
Vice President, Global Network Operations, AT&T, and Ed
Amoroso, Chief Security Officer, AT&T, who will discuss
network recovery and cyber security within the enterprise.
AT&T NDR Exercise Demonstration: will test and evaluate how
well AT&T responds to a natural or man-made disaster.
Media Op: Disaster Recovery Demonstration: Reporters and camera crews
are invited to conduct interviews and capture the rapid
response telecom infrastructure restoration activity -
including a full hazmat squad - that would take place in a
disaster. These are activities rarely witnessed by media
and the public.
Search Dog Demonstration of Rescue Dog Training: National
Disaster Search Dog Foundation teams will demonstrate
search and rescue of a victim with canine teammates.
Reporters and camera crews are invited to cover most of the
major speeches; interviews with AT&T executives are also
available.
