Company Honors Historic Civil Rights Milestone - Sponsors Chairman's Reception

COLUMBIA, Md., July 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Arbitron Inc. (NYSE: ARB)
announced today the company will be a co-sponsor of the National Association
for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Centennial Convention.

Arbitron joins those celebrating the NAACP's enduring presence and its
continuous work on behalf of civil rights. Arbitron is sponsoring the Chairman
of the Board Reception on July 12, an event which provides the opportunity for
attendees to meet and interact with NAACP volunteer leadership from across the
country.

the NAACP on reaching such an incredible milestone.  Little can be done to
move our society forward without the leadership and drive of organizations

The NAACP Annual Convention establishes policies and programs of action for
the ensuing year in regards to civil rights advocacy and ensuring equality for
all Americans.  This Convention will be held July 11-16 at the New York Hilton
Hotel.
