New feature added to real-time broadcast-to-online video platform
NEW YORK--(Business Wire)--
Critical Media Inc.`s Broadcaster Services Group, the leader in online video
eco-systems for broadcast content managing real-time ingestion, clip creation,
publishing, distribution and syndication, today announced the addition of an "on
location" upload feature to itsreal-time broadcast-to-online video platform,
Syndicaster (http://www.syndicaster.tv). A web-based application, Syndicaster
enables television news broadcasters to capture, process, and remotely - from
any browser - create video clips within moments of airing to generate searchable
content that can be published to their website or distributed to partner sites.

Syndicaster`s new upload feature allows users to immediately, from the field,
add video footage to the platform, as well as upload any video that did not make
it on-air. With the ability to combine and edit all video content in one
intuitive interface, editors can produce more comprehensive coverage. This
offers broadcasters the opportunity to leverage their existing assets and create
new video content in order to be more competitive in a digital media world.

Syndicaster users, including local editors at Bloomberg Television, Bonneville
International and LIN Television, now have the ability to upload video shot in
the field, combine it with broadcast assets, edit and publish it online within
moments of being acquired. Station groups can now leverage all video from each
of their markets within the Syndicaster video eco-system. The end result is a
near real-time, fully-normalized video feed from all markets, each leveraging
one unified ad tagging platform.

"The ability for broadcasters to use one platform to easily manage all of their
video assets vastly increases efficiency for station groups. This new service
acts as an `on location` publisher. A video file created on a handheld can
immediately be uploaded from any browser, professionally edited through
Syndicaster`s robust editing features and published to the broadcaster`s website
within moments of being shot on location," said Sean Morgan, CEO of Critical
Media. "Our clients can now monetize more of their content to compete in the
content-rich news environment."

"We`ve released this functionality to empower our broadcast clients to fully
leverage all of their video assets online, not only broadcast news - helicopter
footage, on-location footage that never aired, or even video clips submitted by
viewers", said Ion Puspurica, EVP of Critical Media. "The feedback from editors
has been phenomenal; a brief email received from one of the editors upon launch
described it best - `One word: Awesome!`"
