Fly Me to the Moon Package Starts At $229 Per Night In St. Louis Boutique Hotel
NEW YORK--(Business Wire)--
This year on July 20th, the country celebrates the 40th anniversary of man's
first steps on the moon. Eight years after John F. Kennedy's inspirational
speech, the hard work by thousands of Americans came to fruition on July 20,
1969, when Apollo 11 commander Neil Armstrong stepped out of the lunar module
and took "one small step" in the Sea of Tranquility, calling it "a giant leap
for mankind." On April 17, 2009 owner Joe Edwards took a monumental step and
launched the Moonrise Hotel in St. Louis, making a giant leap in boutique hotel
hospitality. As an homage to its namesake and in honor of this historic moment,
the Moonrise Hotel is celebrating by offering a "Fly Me to the Moon" package in
their Cosmic Jacuzzi Guest Room for $229 per night valid from July 1 through
August 31.

The package is the perfect way to begin an exploration of St. Louis. Lift off
your morning with a Moonrise Breakfast in the Eclipse Restaurant consisting of
granola with fruit, choice pastries, coffee or tea and fruit juice, just enough
fuel to get your burners ignited. Additional amenities include two bottles of
Blue Moon beer and two drink certificates for Tang-Tini's redeemable at any time
during your stay at the Satellite Bar on the hotel's Rooftop Terrace Bar where
you can gaze at the stars. Nightly turndown service delivers two delicious
chocolate flavored famous Moonpies to your pillows. And yes, the instructions
even tell you to microwave it for an out-of-this-world dessert! Finally, go play
among the stars with two tickets for "Fly Me to the Moon" appearing at the
Omnimax Theatre at the St. Louis Science Center are included.

If you're enjoying the Rooftop Terrace Bar at the Moonrise Hotel this summer,
you'll be able to keep an eye out for the scheduled launch of Space Shuttles
Endeavor on July 11 or Space Shuttle Discovery on August 18. Should the
astronauts look down when flying over St. Louis, they may think that they have
discovered a new orb when they notice quite possibly the world's largest
rotating moon replica - weighing more than 3,000 pounds.

To learn more about the first lunar landing, relive the unforgettable
experience, or view extraordinary images from that day, visit

different stroll down memory lane and croon with Frank Sinatra as you surely
know the famous words, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znjEVqSmUSE.
