Northwest Airlines Reports April Traffic
EAGAN, Minn.--(Business Wire)--
Northwest Airlines (NYSE: NWA) today announced an April
consolidated (mainline and regional) load factor of 82.8 percent, 0.9
points below April 2007. Northwest reported a mainline load factor of
83.6 percent, 0.7 points below April 2007.
In April 2008, Northwest and its Northwest Airlink regional
carriers flew 6.59 billion consolidated revenue passenger miles (RPMs)
and 7.96 billion consolidated available seat miles (ASMs), a traffic
increase of 1.0 percent and a capacity increase of 2.1 percent versus
April 2007.
Northwest flew 5.97 billion mainline RPMs and 7.14 billion
mainline ASMs in April 2008, a traffic decrease of 2.0 percent and a
capacity decrease of 1.2 percent versus April 2007.
