Telvent Achieves Internationally Recognized Certification Thanks to Its
Information Security Systems Management Standards

MADRID, Spain, Nov. 5, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Telvent (Nasdaq:TLVT), the IT
company for a sustainable and secure world, has announced today that its Global
Services division has achieved the certification of its procedures related to
the Information Security Management System (ISMS), in accordance with
UNE-ISO/IEC 27001:2005 for Information Technology Services. The certification is
internationally recognized in the management of information security and it is
designed to ensure adequate security controls that protect information assets
and provide confidence to current and potential business customers.

The certification assesses the technological outsourcing of information systems
in the stages of definition, planning, management, control and improvement of
backup, Internet access and monitoring. After completing the external
certification audit of its security management model and provision of services,
Telvent was commended for its capacity for continuous improvement and learning.
