Now Hear This! The Sennheiser Sound Tour Guys Team Brings "True Sound" to Texas
DALLAS, TX and HOUSTON, TX, Jul 10 (MARKET WIRE) --
This summer, headphone manufacturer Sennheiser brings "true sound" to
consumers through its Sennheiser Sound Tour: a 30+ city "Girls vs. Guys"
road trip which is one part reality show and one part dynamic social
media campaign. The Texas leg of the tour, which hits Dallas today, will
stop at retail outlets such as Best Buy and Fry's and will hit festivals,
landmarks and retail outlets across the U.S. and Canada over the course
of the next couple of months.
While in Texas, the Guys Team will be providing Texas-sized rebates and
in-person headphone demos to consumers in Dallas and Houston. Their
appearances follow raucous, highly successful tour stops in Milwaukee and
Minneapolis over the past couple of weeks that have been irresistible to
both consumers and media alike. The Guys Team, which includes a
professional surfer, musicians, an actor and many other talents, will
appear at the following locations over the course of the next few days:
-- Friday, July 10th, 4pm to 8pm:
Best Buy, located at 4255 Lyndon B. Johnson Fwy, Farmers Branch. Phone:
(972) 239-9980.
-- Saturday, July 11th, 12pm to 4pm:
Fry's, located at 12710 Executive Drive, Dallas. Phone: (214) 342-5900.
-- Additional times and locations: Stay tuned to SennheiserSoundTour.com
for continuous updates.
Sennheiser will have product specialists and dedicated listening
stations on-site, and each event will feature instant rebates and plenty
of giveaways. Visit SennheiserSoundTour.com to follow the Girls and Guys
teams across the country as they compete in a unique "reality show"
campaign designed to connect consumers with the "true sound" of
Sennheiser!
Competitive Teams and a Groundbreaking Campaign
The "Girls Team" and the "Guys Team" are integral campaign components of
the Sennheiser Sound Tour; each team is assigned competitive tasks ranging
from over-the-top outrageous to spectacularly goofy, with the ultimate
goal of placing as many Sennheiser headphones on consumers' ears as
possible.
SennheiserSoundTour.com -- complete with its regular Webisodes of team
antics -- brings an "online reality show" dimension to the campaign and
enables both fans and consumers to stay connected as the tour progresses.
The teams are comprised of unique individuals with a startlingly broad
range of backgrounds.
Stefanie Reichert, vice president of strategic marketing, Sennheiser,
commented: "The Sennheiser Sound Tour utilizes a combination of exciting,
traditional and unconventional avenues to reach today's diverse range of
headphone consumers. Our campaign speaks to the individuality and
confidence of contemporary electronics consumers, a market which includes
music enthusiasts, online gamers, multimedia artists and musicians." In
addition to posting weekly webisodes, the competing teams will also
connect with fans and consumers via Twitter, Facebook and other social
media avenues on a regular basis.
