Talaris Unveils 'Direct to Fed' Check Capture Solution
Global Leader in Cash Automation Brings Expertise to Electronic Check
Processing
BOSTON, Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Talaris, the world's leading provider of teller
cash automation equipment to financial institutions and retailers worldwide,
today unveiled its first Check 21 solution, Pronto, which offers branch and
remote deposit capture capabilities for banks, credit unions and retailers.
The product directly and securely transmits and clears checks with the Federal
Reserve System, thereby increasing the speed and efficiency of check
processing.
Pronto will be offered as both a stand-alone check processing solution and
integrated onto its industry-leading teller cash recycler, Vertera. As a
result, Talaris customers are able to enjoy "one-stop shopping" when seeking
world-class check, cash and coin processing technologies.
"Talaris has a rich history of helping customers maximize efficiency and
improve their bottom lines through our innovative solutions," said Chris
Reagan, president of Talaris North America. "With Pronto, we continue this
legacy by coupling premier check capture technology with processing
capabilities that make Check 21 simpler than ever before."
On top of its ability to send checks direct to the Federal Reserve, Pronto
offers a simplistic design and integration into banks, credit unions and
retailers. A counter-top solution that is designed for office or teller-line
applications, the solution boasts a "plug-and-play" set-up process and
easy-to-use interface. As a result, Pronto can be installed in branches and
retail locations in just a few hours, with the accuracy and cost-saving
benefits of Check 21 realized within two days.
"Our goal was to simplify check processing, making it fast and easy for
financial institutions and retailers to realize the benefits of Check 21
without significant technology integrations and additional hardware," said
Reagan. "Pronto does just that, and we are proud to offer it to the market."
Pronto also helps improve check-processing accuracy through its validation
process. As a thick client application - a system that performs most of its
processing internally rather than relying on a host - Pronto immediately
identifies errors and other security issues and allows the user to make the
necessary modifications. This ensures that all checks deposited by retailers
and financial institutions are properly scanned and recorded.
