Hyundai Motor America Names Jong Eun Kim New President and Chief Executive
Officer

    FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Dec. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyundai Motor America
announced today that Jong Eun Kim has been named President and Chief Executive
Officer of the company.  Ok Suk "Owen" Koh, who formerly held the position,
has been named as head of Kia's operations in China.
    Kim most recently served as head of Hyundai Motor Company's Middle East
and African operations, headquartered in Dubai.  Prior to that position he has
held positions in sales, operations and parts in Korea and other parts of the
world for Hyundai.
    The change is effective January 1, 2008.
