State Farm(R) Home Run Derby Offers Big Moments to Eight Local Boys & Girls

St. Louis Area Boys & Girls Clubs Members Paired With Home Run Derby
Participants for the Chance to Win $50,000 for a Teen Center at their Chapter
ST. LOUIS July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Eight members from St. Louis area Boys &
Girls Clubs will experience a once-in-a-lifetime moment as they take to the
field with eight of the biggest sluggers in Major League Baseball during the
2009 State Farm Home Run Derby on Monday, July 13 at Busch Stadium for a
chance to win $50,000 for a teen center at their local Club. The State Farm
Home Run Derby will be broadcast live on ESPN, ESPN HD, ESPN Deportes and ESPN
Radio in the United States beginning at 7:00 p.m. CT (8:00 p.m. ET) on Monday,
July 13.
Each of the eight Boys & Girls Clubs members participating will be matched
with a participant in the State Farm Home Run Derby, with the Club member who
is paired with the State Farm Home Run Derby winner earning $50,000 for a teen
center at their Club. For each of the other seven Club members paired with
State Farm Home Run Derby participants, State Farm will make a $10,000
donation to their Club toward a teen center.

As part of a continued effort to support Boys & Girls Clubs of America and
local communities it serves, State Farm and Major League Baseball are "Going
Beyond" at the 2009 State Farm Home Run Derby. In addition to the Gold Ball
home run which generates $17,000 from State Farm and Major League Baseball for
every Gold Ball home run hit in Busch Stadium, State Farm will donate $5,000
for all other home runs hit throughout the Derby.
