Gilah Press + Design Announces New Retail Presence in Anthropologie Stores
Baltimore-Based Letterpress and Design Boutique Unveils Customized Line of
Postcards for Anthropologie Stores Nationwide
BALTIMORE, Feb. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Gilah Press + Design announced a
new relationship with Anthropologie, the national retailer of women's apparel
fashions and accessories. Approximately 90 percent of Anthropologie stores
are now carrying a unique set of ten postcards from Gilah Press + Design,
which has been customized for the chain.
"This is a very exciting relationship for Gilah Press," noted Kat
Feuerstein, owner of Gilah Press + Design. "We have long thought that our
style of design was in line with that of the Anthropologie shopper, and we are
thrilled for an opportunity to align with such a well-known and well-regarded
brand in the retail industry."
Based in Baltimore, MD, Gilah Press + Design focuses on letterpress
production and boasts unique and personalized designs for its clientele. Owner
Kat Feuerstein, in collaboration with the design department at Anthropologie,
customized the color and paper stock of the postcard sets specifically for
Anthropologie.
Each set of ten postcards comes in a muslin sachet and is hand pressed
using Gilah Press + Design's 1884 Chandler and Price platen letterpress,
giving each note set a rich, handmade look and feel that cannot be achieved by
using modern printing techniques. The postcards are now being carried in 85
Anthropologie stores across the country; they became available for purchase at
participating locations during the week of February 11th. Each set will retail
for $14.00.
Anthropologie tailors its merchandise to sophisticated and contemporary
women aged 30 to 45 who, for the most part, are focused on family, home and
career. The unique and eclectic product assortment includes women's casual
apparel and accessories, home furnishings and a diverse array of gifts and
decorative items. Anthropologie currently operates more than 100 stores in the
United States, as well as the anthropologie.com website and the Anthropologie
catalog. The company is owned by Urban Outfitters.
Since its founding in 2003, Gilah Press + Design has been featured in Food
& Wine Magazine, Print Magazine, Lucky Magazine, The Wall Street Journal and
The Washington Post, to name a few. Portions of the Gilah Press line are also
carried in retail stores internationally.
