Features the Most Memorable '80s Songs from the Most Iconic Superstars of the
Decade Including Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, The Police, Rick Springfield,
Bob Seger, David Bowie and More!

    NEW YORK, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The world's best selling multi-artist
album series, NOW That's What I Call Music! is back this Spring with their
first genre specific album. NOW That's What I Call The '80s, scheduled for
release on March 11, will feature 20 of the decade's biggest smash hits, from
New Wave to Pop to Hard Rock.
    NOW That's What I Call The '80s features huge hits which defined the
decade, including songs by Duran Duran, Wham!, David Bowie, Cyndi Lauper and
more!  VH1 Classic will run a one hour special "VH1 Classic Presents: NOW
'80s" featuring videos from the artists on the album. The show will be hosted
by one of MTV's original VJ's Mark Goodman, and includes a special guest
appearance by '80s heartthrob Rick Springfield, who will reminisce about his
musical experiences from the decade.
    NOW '80s is a compilation joint venture featuring top hits from EMI Music,
Sony BMG Music Entertainment and Universal Music Group.  NOW '80s will be
released by SONY BMG Music Entertainment.
    NOW That's What I Call Music! Vol 27, featuring 20 huge chart-topping
songs from artists like Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Chris Brown and Sara Bareilles
also hits stores on March 11.
    The NOW That's What I Call Music! series debuted in the United States in
1998 after the NOW brand had become an enormous, multi-platinum international
success for nearly 20 years. To date, the NOW series has generated sales of
over 200 million albums worldwide, and has sold over 67 million copies in the
United States since its debut.  Every album in the NOW series has reached the
Billboard Top 10, and it is the only non-soundtrack, multi-artist collection
to reach #1 Billboard status on the Billboard Top 200 Album Sales Chart.
