Subway Spokesman Jared Fogle is Coming to San Diego

Jared Fogle, the man who more than 10 years ago lost over 245 pounds by eating
two SUBWAY submarine sandwiches a day, is making his way to SeaWorld to speak to
participants in the park`s summer Resident Camp program about the benefits of
living a healthy life.

On Wednesday, July 15, 2009, Jared will visit SeaWorld to discuss the importance
of making healthy choices. SeaWorld Resident Campers ranging from 4th through
6th grade will enjoy Jared`s presentation at the park`s Dine With Shamu
facility. They`ll also enjoy Subway sandwiches and an interaction with Shamu.

On the heels of a California study on obesity released just last week, Jared
will speak directly to children to get them to start eating healthy and to think
about making good choices. Our state`s health care crisis is at an all time
high. Health care related costs due to obesity have reached $41 billion,
approximately one-third of the state`s budget. Jared, who has been a long-time
advocate for children, believes that by investing in prevention through
education we can make a significant impact.
