Taft University Appoints New President

SANTA ANA, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
Jerome F. Alley has been appointed President of William Howard Taft University.
He comes to Taft with over a decade of experience in distance education. For the
past four years he has served as President and CEO of a nationally accredited
university. 

During his career in postsecondary education, he has successfully restructured
business processes to streamline activities resulting in record growth and high
levels of student retention and satisfaction. 

Mr. Alley has served as an educational standards evaluator for the Distance
Education and Training Council (DETC). In 2008 he was honored by DETC as the
recipient of the Distinguished Recognition Award. This award was given in
recognition of his outstanding service on special projects that have contributed
to the advancement of distance education. 

As President he succeeds David L. Boyd who will assume the position of Chief
Executive Officer of The Taft University System.
