Desktops to Facilitate Communications Between Deployed Servicemembers and Their
Families
ASHBURN, Va.--(Business Wire)--
For employees at Telos® Corporation, information technology and communications
are a way of life. But this month, in addition to the support the company
provides to the Department of Defense everyday, Telos is also helping military
families by refurbishing and donating 20 desktop computers to Operation
Homefront.

"Operation Homefront helps troops and wounded warriors communicate with their
families by providing them with computers and related communications equipment,"
said Tracy Kelly, desktop support technician, who is leading the effort at
Telos. "Supporting an organization with a mission like this was a natural fit
for a company like ours."

For wounded warriors, Operation Homefront also equips laptops with specialized
software such as voice activation to accommodate for their disabilities and to
help them move on with their lives. For the many wounded who are recuperating in
medical facilities, laptops are critical to communicating with family members,
filling out disability paperwork, applying for civilian jobs, and even paying
household bills, according to the organization.

Telos has a long-standing tradition of supporting the nation`s warriors through
various programs such as the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), a
Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce initiative to support a local National Guard
unit returning from deployment, and Operation Pinecone. In August 2008, the
company formalized this tradition when CEO John Wood signed a Statement of
Support for the Guard and Reserve.
