Vulcan Declares Quarterly Dividend on Common Shares

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., July 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Board of Directors of
Vulcan Materials Company (NYSE: VMC) at a regular meeting held today declared
a quarterly dividend of 25 cents per share on its common stock payable
September 10, 2009 to the shareholders of record at the close of business on
August 26, 2009.
