Teamsters Rally for Workers' Rights; Join in 'Hollywood From The Docks' March

Jim Hoffa to Speak and Lead Teamsters in March

SAN PEDRO, Calif., April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Teamsters General President
Jim Hoffa and other Teamster leaders will hold a rally for workers' rights on
Thursday, April 17, at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro, California. The
rally is part of the "The March From Hollywood To The Docks" three-day event
that will highlight the struggle of hundreds of thousands of workers fighting
to support their families and protect their jobs in an uncertain economy.
    The Teamster rally will include thousands of members, speeches from Hoffa
and other Teamster leaders, City Councilwoman Janice Hahn and other Union
officials from the United Farm Workers and Unite Here.
    The rally will end with more than 100 Teamsters on motorcycles leading the
contingent to the main rally at the port, where the march will end. Hoffa will
be among the speakers at the main rally that starts at 6 p.m. Hoffa is
tentatively slated to speak at that rally at 7 p.m.

             The rally starts at 3:30 p.m. The official program will start
             around 4 p.m.
