BALTIMORE--(Business Wire)--
Exclusive video content, easier navigation, and more local, state, and national
news than ever before are among the highlights of www.mddailyrecord.com, the
completely redesigned business and legal news website unveiled today by The
Daily Record.

"The Daily Record is committed to being an indispensible part of your business
day," says Publisher Christopher Eddings. "To that end, we will no longer
restrict access to stories by the Associated Press and other outside news
sources, making www.mddailyrecord.com the most complete news resource online. In
addition, we will offer exclusive content and in-depth stories that will only be
available to online subscribers."

The Daily Record`s redesigned website will provide all users with:

* Breaking business and legal news and regular updates as stories develop;
* Videos, interactive media, and photos in the Multimedia Zone;
* Opportunities for readers to comment on every story so they can be part of the
conversation;
* A new blog, Generation JD, by and for young lawyers, plus staff-written blogs
on Maryland Business, On the Record for legal topics, and Eye on Annapolis for
state government topics;
* The latest in law, real estate, technology, government, health care news, and
more in the Market Sectors section;
* Reference tools and links to The Daily Record`s annual Targeted Publications;
and
* An all-inclusive list of upcoming events, updated daily in the interactive
Networking Calendar.

Individuals who subscribe to the website, however, also will have access to
premium website content including:

* Exclusive news, analysis, opinion pieces, and news archives available in the
subscriber-only Subscriber Access section; and
* Comprehensive legal news and summaries of important court decisions.

The revamped Daily Record website is the latest change for Maryland`s only daily
business and legal newspaper. Last spring, The Daily Record introduced an
entirely redesigned newspaper highlighted by four additional pages of content,
added editorial features, and a brand new design from the masthead down.

According to Eddings, all of these changes are part of a comprehensive plan that
ties The Daily Record`s long-standing position as Maryland`s newspaper of record
to the needs of its readers.

"We conducted extensive research and listened to our readers," explains Eddings.
"They told us they needed to know more - the theme of our redesign initiative -
and that they trusted us because of our history of accurate, thorough reporting,
the basis for our strong credibility in Maryland."

The redesign of the newspaper last spring and now the website allows The Daily
Record`s readers to get their daily dose of business and legal news in the way
in which they prefer, regardless of whether it is through a traditional, printed
daily newspaper, an online news website, or some combination of both.

"In short, our readers can have their news in any way they like," says Eddings.
"As other papers contract or fight against online competitors for market share,
we see the opportunity to strengthen our position as Maryland`s go-to source for
comprehensive business and legal news and information, delivered via online and
print editions that complement each other."

For more than 120 years, The Daily Record Company has provided trusted legal and
business information to Maryland readers. In addition to the daily newspaper
published five days a week, The Daily Record publishes: two websites,
mddailyrecord.com and exhibitAnewsbaltimore.com, focusing on the law in plain
English; four blogs, Maryland Business, On the Record, Generation JD, and Eye on
Annapolis; and a variety of special publications on topics of interest to
Maryland business and legal professionals.

The Daily Record also honors leading Marylanders through events such as
Influential Marylanders, Maryland`s Top 100 Women, Leadership in Law, and Health
Care Heroes. The Daily Record is owned by Dolan Media Company, trading as DM, of
Minneapolis, MN.
