Axsys Technologies Announces Plan for Communicating Second Quarter Results

ROCKY HILL, Conn., July 10, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Axsys Technologies, Inc.
(Nasdaq:AXYS), a global leader in the design and development of high-performance
surveillance cameras, imaging systems and related motion control technologies,
today announced that it will not hold a quarterly teleconference or issue an
earnings release to discuss its financial results as a result of the pending
acquisition by General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems. Axsys expects to
file its Form 10-Q for the second quarter of 2009 with the Securities and
Exchange Commission during the last week of July.
