Noble Energy Wins Award for Environmental Protection in Piceance Basin

HOUSTON, July 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Noble Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NBL)
announced today that the Colorado Oil & Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC)
awarded Noble Energy a 2008 Outstanding Oil and Gas Operations Award for
environmental protection and safe operation in the Project Rulison area of the
Piceance Basin.  The award was presented by Harris Sherman, Executive Director
of the Colorado Department of Natural Resources and David Neslin, Director of
the COGCC, at the Colorado Oil & Gas Association Rocky Mountain Natural Gas
Strategy Conference and Investment Forum on July 8, 2009.
