Free Enhancements for High-Speed Internet Customers
ST. LOUIS--(Business Wire)--
Beginning today, Charter Communications® is further enhancing customers`
high-speed Internet experience by providing faster downloads through
PowerBoost®, a technology that temporarily increases Internet download speeds.
Recently, the company also doubled its upload speeds for Charter High-Speed
Internet Express and Internet Plus customers. In keeping with its commitment to
continually provide customers with additional value, Charter is making these
service enhancements available at no extra charge.

"Charter provides our customers the fastest and most reliable1 online
experience, and we keep making fast faster," said Rich DiGeronimo, Vice
President of Product Management for Charter. "Our advanced technology enables us
to continuously enhance and add more value to our customers` online experience,
making it more immediate, more robust and more enjoyable. DSL simply cannot
compete."

PowerBoost provides an extra "burst" of speed during file downloads, subject to
network availability, for customers using Charter High-Speed Internet Express,
Plus and Max services. As a result, customers enjoy faster downloads along with
a more rapid page-loading process. PowerBoost is not available with DSL or
dial-up services from other providers.

By doubling its Internet upload speeds recently, Charter has enabled customers
to share photos and video online in half the time they did previously. Now,
Charter High-Speed Internet Express customers can upload content at speeds up to
1 Mbps, while customers using Charter High-Speed Internet Plus can upload at up
to 2 Mbps.

Earlier this year, Charter increased the download speed of Charter High- Speed®
Internet Max to up to 20 Mbps, at no additional charge to customers. Charter
High-Speed® InternetUltra60 was launched earlier this year in select markets,
providing customers with download speeds of up to 60 Mbps and upload speeds of
up to 5 Mbps. Ultra60 will be launched in additional markets during the
remainder of 2009 and throughout 2010.
