Number of Mobile Subscribers in China to Increase to 738 million in 2010 According to New Report

DUBLIN, Ireland--(Business Wire)--Research and Markets
(http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c80876) has announced the
addition of IE Market Research Corp's new report: 1Q08 Mobile
Forecast: China, 2007 - 2010 to their offering.

IEMR's Mobile Forecast on China provides over 65 operational and
financial metrics for the China wireless market. We cover quarterly
historical data starting in 3Q2003 and ending in 3Q2007. We also
provide four-year forecasts at the operator level going out to 2010.
Operators covered for China include: China Mobile, China Unicom, and
Unlisted and other adjustments. Our Mobile Forecasts are updated
quarterly and are available for one-time delivery or through regular
updates.

Notable highlights of the 1Q08 China Mobile Forecast include:

   - The number of subscribers in the country will keep increasing
rapidly over the next several years. It will increase from our
projected 540 million in 2007 to 738 million in 2010.

   - The large increase in subscribers enables operators to have very
high subscriber growth rates. China Mobile will have a subscriber
growth of 43.7% and China Unicom will have 24.6% over the 2007 - 2010
forecast period.

   - We continue to forecast that market share of China Mobile will
increase to 70.8% and that of China Unicom will decrease to 26.8% in
2010.

   - In 2010, China Mobile will enjoy a higher EBITDA margin of 53.2%
compared to China Unicom with an EBITDA margin of 34.7%.

   - We are now predicting a lower US$ ARPU for China Mobile (US$
11.43) and China Unicom US$ 6.69 in 2010. This forecast is mostly
based on our exchange rate forecast for the US dollar.
