Moving Industry to Unveil Program to End 'Rogue Mover' Problem

ORLANDO, Fla., April 1, 2008 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is being
issued by American Moving and Storage Association: 
AMSA's ProMover(SM) Certification Will Protect Consumers, Put 'Rogues' Out of
Business

WHAT:  A news event to unveil ProMover(SM), an innovative program created by
the American Moving and Storage Association to help protect consumers by
ensuring that the movers they hire are legitimate, honest professionals. 

The ProMover(SM) program seeks to put an end to the small but devastating
problem of "rogue movers" -- criminals who pose as legitimate movers to rip
off consumers -- with a comprehensive program of pre-screening, annual reviews
and a strict revocation process for companies that fail to adhere to the
ProMover(SM) pledge of professionalism. The ProMover(SM) designation will
represent a new standard for professionalism and excellence and a "must have"
credential to be identified as a trusted, professional mover.
