DUBLIN, Ireland--(Business Wire)--
Research and Markets
(http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c85986) has announced the
addition of Production & Market of Glyoxalic Acid in China to their
offering.

Glyoxalic acid is a kind of basic organic chemical material.
Bourbonal, made of glyoxalic acid, is widely used as a flavoring agent
and fixative of cosmetics. Allantoin, made of this product, is used as
healer for wounds, an additive for cosmetics and plant growth
regulator. It is also used in the field of medicine.
P-hydroxylphenylglycine, which is an important medical intermediate
and is widely used to produce lactam series antibiotics such as
syncillin and cephalosporin series medical product, is also made of
glyoxalic. A downstream product of glyoxalic acid,
p-Hydroxyphenylacetamide is widely used to produce Atenolol, a kind of
hypertension medicine.

Driven by the huge demand of its downstream products, the recent
output of China's glyoxalic acid is increasing all the time, and the
product quality is also increasing rapidly. More and more overseas
companies have started to import glyoxalic acid from China and the
volume is quickly expanding. In 2006, about 14.27% of China's
glyoxalic acid is exported but the impact of this trend is only limit
to the large-scale glyoxalic acid producers, who have mastered the
technology of high purity products. While for small-scale enterprises,
who can only produce ordinary glyoxalic acid for the domestic market,
it is harder for them to get more benefits from exporting.

Affected by the price of its raw material and the supply and
demand situation of its downstream products, the price of glyoxalic
acid is undergoing great changes recently and it is estimated that the
situation will continue for a long time.

Because of environmental reasons, the production situation will
undergo huge changes in the future, and many glyoxalic acid producers
will have to shift their production line to ensure their competitive
advantages.

The detailed and in-depth analysis of China's glyoxalic acid
production and market situations are all described in this report.
