Gail McGovern to Address Status of Nonprofit Sector in Current Economic
Climate

WASHINGTON, July 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Gail J. McGovern, President and
CEO of the American Red Cross will be the featured speaker at a National Press
Club Luncheon on Tuesday, July 21, 2009.  The focus of Ms. McGovern's speech
will be "Navigating Nonprofits through Turbulent Economic Times."

The Speech will lay out the challenges of operating in the Nonprofit sector
through this economy -- a time when needs continue to increase and the sector
is being asked by governments at all levels to play a greater role. McGovern
will use that foundation to discuss her experiences after 1 full year as
President and CEO of American Red Cross, and how the organization has used
creative thinking and modern communications tools to weather the economic
storm, while preparing for the Hurricane season that is upon us, as well as
the prospect of a return of the H1N1 virus this fall.
