Molson Names Key Executives to Leadership Team
TORONTO, ONTARIO, Jul 09 (MARKET WIRE) --
Molson Canada today announced a number of top leadership appointments
designed to strengthen the organization across Canada. "I believe these
changes set us up to deliver on our commitment to grow our business in
Canada and become a top global brewer," said Dave Perkins, CEO and
President, Molson Canada. "I'm proud to work with such a talented and
experienced team as we accelerate our drive to make Molson the first
choice of Canadian beer drinkers."
Today's announcement includes the following appointments to the senior
leadership team:
Jay Wells, Chief Financial Officer-Mr. Wells, 46, currently Global Vice
President, Treasury, Tax, and Strategic Finance for Molson Coors, joined
the company in May, 2005. A former partner with Deloitte & Touche LLP, he
is a certified public accountant with extensive expertise in financial
planning and analysis, capital markets, domestic and international tax
planning, foreign currency management and strategic transactions. Mr.
Wells holds a law degree from Villanova University School of Law and has
been admitted to the bar in Colorado, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is
a graduate of Albright College, with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Accounting. In addition to his responsibilities with Molson Canada, Mr.
Wells will continue to lead global tax strategy for the enterprise. He
plans to relocate to Toronto from Denver in the immediate future with his
family.
Cathy Noonan, Chief Supply Chain Officer-Ms. Noonan, 52, has served in a
number of executive operational capacities, including Global Chief Shared
Services Officer for Molson Coors, and in leadership roles overseeing
supply chain management and cost management for Molson, Inc. Previously,
Ms. Noonan served as the senior vice president of planning for Hudson's
Bay Company, Canada's largest department store retailer. Her experience
also includes managing logistics for Maple Leaf Meats. A native of Quebec
City, Quebec, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry, a
Bachelor of Applied Science in chemical engineering and a Certificate of
Business Administration, all from the University of Ottawa.
Kelly Brown, Chief Legal Officer-Ms. Brown, 38, joined Molson Canada in
October, 2000 and was most recently Vice President & General Counsel. She
received her law degree from Dalhousie University and has an honours
degree in English Literature from McGill University. Upon graduation from
Dalhousie, she clerked at the Federal Court of Appeal in Ottawa and began
her legal career practicing corporate/commercial law at Torys, one of the
country's top firms. Ms. Brown is called to the bar of the Law Society of
Upper Canada and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Canadian
Corporate Counsel Association and American Association of Corporate
Counsel. In 2006, Lexpert named her one of Canada's "Top 40 lawyers under
40".
Ferg Devins, Chief Public Affairs Officer-Mr. Devins, 50, is a 25-year
veteran with Molson Canada, where he has held a number of positions with
increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, brand management, sports
and entertainment, field marketing, corporate affairs and communications.
Most recently, as Vice President, Government and Public Affairs, he has
been instrumental in shaping the company's social media agenda and
building Molson's strong commitment to communities across Canada. Devins
received a Business Diploma from Confederation College and a Bachelor of
Arts Degree from Queen's University at Kingston. He serves on a number of
non-profit and community boards, and he also holds memberships in the
International Association of Business Communicators, the Canadian Public
Relations Society, and the Public Affairs Association of Canada and is
active with the Social Media Business Council of North America.
