RUSHVILLE, Ind., July 10, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Omnicity Corp (OTCBB:OMCY)
has taken the next step in their mission of becoming the premier provider of
broadband services in the unserved and underserved rural market place of America
by signing a multiyear contract with Educational Networks of America (ENA) to
provide services to Blackford County Schools in East Central Indiana. Omnicity
will provide a carrier grade licensed wireless connection to the school system
that will more than triple the current bandwidth capacity. Greg Jarman, CEO of
Omnicity, stated "We plan for this to be the first of many schools where we will
work with ENA to provide much needed services to the rural communities
throughout Indiana."

Several national reports published in the last couple of years have focused on
the importance of access to broadband for education as well as directly linking
broadband services to economic development and overall global competitiveness.
Broadband services are now widely recognized as a critical success factor in
education and community services. "The Blackford County Schools solution is a
prime example of how ENA works with local service providers such as Omnicity to
bring high speed broadband to traditionally underserved communities," commented
Merle Gruesser, ENA's State Director for Indiana.
