2008 Golden Triangle Award Winners Announced by IABC/Pittsburgh; Bayer Wins
Best in Show; Point Park University Professor Receives Communicator Award

PITTSBURGH, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2008 Golden Triangle Awards for
outstanding work by professional communicators in Western Pennsylvania were
presented tonight by IABC/Pittsburgh, the local chapter of the International
Association of Business Communicators at the Power Center Ballroom on the
campus of Duquesne University.
The Best in Show Award went to Bayer Corporation for its entry, C.A.U.S.E.
Challenge(TM) High School Film Festival.
Bob O'Gara, professor and director of the Integrated Marketing
Communications Program at Point Park University, received IABC/Pittsburgh's
fifth annual Business Communicator of the Year Award, which honors outstanding
contributions in practicing, promoting and enhancing professional business
communications in western Pennsylvania.
Crystal Awards of Excellence for the best entries and Awards of Honor for
outstanding runners-up were presented at the 29th annual event. Sixty-one
finalists received awards of excellence or honor in 22 categories.

The Golden Triangle Awards program, sponsored by IABC/Pittsburgh, is an
annual competition to recognize excellence in communications management,
skills and creativity in the western Pennsylvania region.
