AAON Rooftop Unit Is Winner in ACHR News 2009 Dealer Design Awards
TULSA, OK, Jul 13 (MARKET WIRE) --
AAON (NASDAQ: AAON) was recognized for excellence in product design in
the 5th annual Dealer Design Awards Program sponsored by The Air
Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News magazine. An independent panel
of 41 contractors acted as judges in the contest that had 124 entries
from 84 different brands. The company's RN Series was the Bronze Winner
in the HVAC Light Commercial Equipment category. The ACHR News is the
leading trade magazine in the heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and
refrigeration industries.
News Publisher John Conrad stated, "These awards give us a unique
opportunity to recognize the outstanding research and development efforts
that go into many of the products serving the HVACR industry and the
awards issue gives our readers an opportunity to read about innovative
installation and service solutions."
RN Series rooftop units, from 7-70 tons, are designed to be energy
efficient and easily serviceable. Features include maintenance free direct
drive supply fans, lockable hinged doors which provide quick service
access to every section of the unit, energy saving double wall
construction with an insulating value of R-13, and 10-100% variable
capacity scroll compressors which increase the part load efficiency of
the unit and eliminate the need for hot gas bypass.
"The recognition of three AAON products (RN, SA, and LC Series) in the
2009 Dealer Design Awards demonstrates our continuing commitment to
designing and engineering innovative and high performance HVAC
equipment," said Norm Asbjornson, President and CEO of AAON.
Winning entries in the Dealer Design Awards were featured in the July 13,
2009 issue of The ACHR News, which is distributed nationally to over
33,000 HVACR contractors, wholesalers, and other industry professionals.
