Center for Courageous Enterprise Introduces Programs for Generational Transition of Leadership at ASTD International Conference & Exposition

Unique Approach to Leadership Development Involves Building Home
for the Needy; House to be Built on Exhibit Floor During Training
                              Conference
SAN DIEGO--(Business Wire)--
Organizations are experiencing a shift in employee demographics,
driven by the transition from Baby Boomers to Generation X and Y. To
build effective teams and retain top talent, organizations must
implement leadership development strategies with this changing
generational paradigm in mind. During the American Society for
Training & Development (ASTD) 2008 International Conference &
Exposition in San Diego, June 1 - 4, the Center for Courageous
Enterprise (booth #2833) will demonstrate unique solutions designed to
support and enhance the management transition between Baby Boomers and
Generation X and Y.

During the conference, attendees will build a home for an
impoverished Mexican family, which will be transported to Tijuana
after the event. The house build will take place at the Center for
Courageous Enterprise booth.

In 2007, the first wave of Baby-Boomers began retiring, leaving a
leadership void for which many organizations are not prepared. In
addition, the next large demographic groups in the workforce,
Generation X and Y, are vastly different from their predecessors.

"The next generation of executives is highly civic-minded because
of the societal and economic issues they experienced during
adolescence. They define leaders as people who prize collaboration,
stand up for their beliefs and values, and strive to improve society,"
said Wendy Johnson, CEO of the Center for Courageous Enterprise. "Our
belief is that by participating in life-changing activities,
individuals learn how to integrate their values and skills to become
leaders with conscience and purpose."

"We're pleased to offer our conference attendees the opportunity
to participate in a unique preconference workshop called 'Re-thinking
Corporate Responsibility, One Nail at a Time,'" said Tony Bingham,
ASTD President and CEO. "Within their own organizations and on behalf
of their clients, our members help individuals grow and help companies
succeed by increasing the knowledge and skills of the workforce. This
effort with the Center for Courageous Enterprise will provide an
opportunity for our conference participants to continue to make a
positive impact by helping a family in need," Bingham noted.

   New Leadership Development Programs Introduced

The Center for Courageous Enterprise provides unique leadership
development programs that are rooted in proven practices, but from a
fresh perspective. Their offerings include:

-- Leadership Impact: Equipping the Leaders of Today and
Tomorrow. This intensive three-day workshop is rooted in
proven leadership development practices and refined for the
shift in workplace dynamics as Generation X and Y employees
intermingle with - and succeed - retiring Baby Boomers.
Designed to accommodate individual enrollment (participants
are teamed with peers from multiple organizations); or private
groups from a single company, Leadership Impact culminates in
a rewarding, hands-on project -- building a home for an
impoverished family -- whereby all participants see and feel
the positive, life-changing consequences of leading with
        conscience and purpose.

-- Individual Coaching: A Catalyst for Growth and Success.
Designed to identify, develop and direct inner strengths for
personal growth, professional collaboration and a positive
social impact. Through assessments such as SEI, DiSC, and
MBTI, individuals gain insight into personality and work
styles and how to effectively interact with colleagues.

-- Manager Coach: Empowering Leaders for Collaborative Teams. A
flexible program that demonstrates, applies and imparts the
coaching model to key designated individuals in an
organization, who in turn become equipped to coach other
        employees.

-- Developing People Potential: Your Most Valuable Assets. This
program provides customized, sustainable solutions for
developing future leaders who will steer a company's mission
into the future, through changing social and economic
conditions. Experts identify future leaders and work with
companies to develop strategies for nurturing and channeling
        their potential.
