Statement From Ray Middleman, Attorney for Yellow Cab Company on Hill District
Fatal Shooting Incident

PITTSBURGH, March 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- We are deeply concerned
about this incident and all of those involved. We are attempting to get more
information and will cooperate with the Pittsburgh Police in their
investigation of this tragic situation.
We understand an attempted robbery by a Yellow Cab passenger in the Hill
District resulted in the passenger being shot and killed by the cab driver who
was also injured and hospitalized.
There are many questions to be answered and at this time there is very
little information.
Yellow Cab is a division of the Pittsburgh Transportation Group and the
drivers are independent contractors and not employees of the company.
