WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah--(Business Wire)--
The Utah Telecommunication Open Infrastructure Agency ("UTOPIA") today announced
that Integra Telecom, Inc., a facilities-based, integrated communications
carrier, will be using the UTOPIA network to expand its business Internet and
private network service offerings.

"Integra leads the industry in customer satisfaction and loyalty as a result of
their high standards of responsiveness and reliability," says Todd Marriott,
UTOPIA`s Executive Director. "We are very pleased Integra will be bringing its
level of service to Utah`s business customers over the UTOPIA network."

Integra`s high level of customer satisfaction comes, in part, from their
localized approach to customer service. Integra places full-service customer
care, support and technical teams in the local markets it serves, instead of
having staff work from headquarters. This unique service model enables Integra
to provide the highest level of personal attention in each of the 11 states it
serves.

Integra Telecom is one of the largest competitive local exchange carriers in the
country. Just last month, Integra announced two new private network services
which allow business customers to combine voice, data and Internet traffic onto
a single cost-effective and easy-to-manage IP-based network that scales as its
customers` businesses grow.

"Integra is one of the fastest growing private companies in the country, and
they bring many strengths as a provider. Having a service provider of Integra`s
stature utilize our network further validates the large-scale open access model
we are pioneering," Marriott added. UTOPIA`s open access model makes the
physical infrastructure accessible to providers, who pay a fee to offer services
on the fiber-to-the-premise network.

"We`re excited to augment our existing infrastructure and work with UTOPIA to
further expand the reach of our industry-leading business telecom products and
services," said Dudley Slater, CEO of Integra Telecom. "Our best-in-class
carrier network, combined with UTOPIA`s fiber optic network, represents a
powerful synergy for business telecom in Utah."

This announcement makes Integra the eighth service provider on the UTOPIA
network.
