Humana Names Darrell Russell Medicare Director for Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota OMAHA, Neb.--(Business Wire)-- Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) a leading provider of Medicare health plans and prescription drug plans, has named Darrell Russell Director of Humana MarketPOINT in Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. Humana MarketPOINT is the sales and marketing unit for Humana's Medicare prescription drug plans and Medicare Advantage health plans, including Medicare HMO, PPO and private fee-for-service health plans. In his new position, Russell will oversee marketing, strategy and growth for the three-state market, and will be based in Humana's Omaha office. Humana serves more than 137,000 people with Medicare in Nebraska and the Dakotas. Humana has increased its Medicare membership in Nebraska to more than 67,000, opening an office in Omaha in 2006 and an office in Lincoln in 2007, while the company serves 32,000 Medicare members in North Dakota and 38,000 Medicare members in South Dakota. Prior to this promotion, Russell served three years as a Sales Manager for Humana MarketPOINT in Iowa. Russell also brings 10 years of professional insurance experience as an independent insurance agency owner, and previous management and sales experience with AFLAC. Russell is also a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).
