TINLEY PARK, Ill.--(Business Wire)--
PANDUIT hosted a groundbreaking ceremony this morning at the
future site of their new LEED Gold certified corporate headquarters in
Tinley Park. The planned development includes a 280,000 square foot
facility, in a campus environment, with initial employment exceeding
500 staff. The 52-acre site, along I-80 on the east side of 80th
Avenue in Will County, allows for future expansion to accommodate an
additional 1,200 staff.

"PANDUIT is proud of our deep roots and history in Tinley Park and
Illinois, and we are pleased to be announcing a commitment today that
is critical to the future of the Company and a reinforcement of our
commitment to our headquarters' staff and the local community," said
John Caveney, CEO. The new PANDUIT headquarter location is
approximately 4 miles from its existing headquarters on Ridgeland
Avenue in Tinley Park. "Our decision to select the Tinley Park site
was made after significant research into alternative locations. The
support of the Village of Tinley Park, Will County, and the State of
Illinois was a significant factor in our site selection. We are
grateful for their support," added Caveney.

The company has secured the services of the leading global design,
planning, and strategic consulting firm, Gensler, and leading national
engineering and construction firms, Affiliated Engineers, Inc. and
Power Construction. These organizations will help ensure that the new
corporate headquarters reflects PANDUIT's traditional Midwestern roots
along with state of the art technologies and environments to enhance
globalization and organizational effectiveness.

Also, to realize energy savings and to provide a healthy workplace
and planet, the company intends to achieve Leadership in Energy and
Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification with this 5-story
building. "To reinforce our commitment to the environment and
sustainability, our goal at PANDUIT is to achieve LEED certification
at each of our facilities as we build and/or renovate," stated Tom
Donovan, President.
