General Dynamics Honored with Outstanding Contractor Award by U.S. Department
of Health and Human Services

FAIRFAX, Va., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- General Dynamics Information Technology,
a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), received the 2009 Outstanding
Contractor Award from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS)
Assistant Secretary for Children and Families at a 1 p.m. award ceremony today
at the National Transportation Safety Board Conference Center in Washington,
D.C.

General Dynamics serves on the Child Protection team in the Office of Refugee
Resettlement (ORR), within the Administration for Children and Families (ACF).
The team, composed entirely of General Dynamics' employees, is being honored
for its service and performance.

The Child Protection team provides case coordination for child trafficking
victims and works collaboratively with ORR staff, non-governmental
organizations, and federal, state and local partners to increase the
identification of child victims of trafficking, as well as training and
technical assistance to all federal field specialists and ORR-funded shelters
that identify trafficking victims. It ensures the placement of unaccompanied
child victims in specialized foster case where the victims can successfully
recover from the trauma they experienced. In addition, the team focuses its
efforts on developing proper care for identified victims in collaboration with
state and local governments.
