vice
president of Programming Acquisitions for DIRECTV.
"Unlike other recreational channels, MAN features sponsor integration into
the
programming content in an entertaining and engaging manner," added Klahr.
"While MAN gives our customers access to the fishing expedition, it also
shows our viewers how to purchase the fly rod that is being cast."
MAN offers interactive capabilities, from 1-800-number viewer response to
on-screen messages, or triggers, that take viewers to TV microsites where they
can learn more information about products they see on TV. These interactive
capabilities include giving viewers the ability to order brochures or view a
long form, on-demand commercial, allowing viewers to engage and connect
through the remote control.
Outdoors adventure recreation is a robust segment in the U.S. economy as
evidenced by more than 80 million outdoors enthusiasts spending approximately
$70
billion annually on products and services used for hunting, fishing or
watching wildlife.
MAN is expected to make further announcements this year that will bring
MAN's
TV distribution to more than 25 million homes worldwide with additional
viewers reached through global webcasting. Contact MAN for more information on
