Baseball Fans and Players Stroll the Bases in Honor of Loved Ones Touched by
Cancer

PHILADELPHIA, June 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Baseball fans throughout the
Mid-Atlantic States can be part of the second annual Strike Out Cancer Now
Tour presented by Cancer Treatment Centers of America(R) (CTCA). Strike Out
Cancer Now partners with minor league baseball teams in New York, New Jersey,
Maryland and Virginia to raise awareness of the fight against cancer. Cancer
patients and survivors will be part of the action, throwing out the first
pitch and proving that a cancer diagnosis doesn't have to take you out of the
game. The tour kicks off on Wednesday, July 1, at 7:05 pm (Long Island Ducks
v. York Revolution) at Citibank Park in Central Islip, New York.

"The Strike Out Cancer Now games give cancer patients and survivors like me a
chance to show how far we've come. When I throw out that pitch, the power is
back in my hands," said CTCA patient and breast cancer survivor Phyllis Ellis
of Bloomfield, NJ. "I'm proud to be part of something that hopefully inspires
others to keep fighting."

During the "Stroll of Honor" fans are invited to walk the bases in honor of
family members and friends that have been lost to cancer or are currently
battling the disease. With the Jumbotron playing video footage of
participants, the Stroll of Honor will be a moving dedication and opportunity
for fans to take a stand against cancer. All attendees will also receive a
large "K" for a strike, to wave throughout the game, symbolizing the regional
effort to strike out cancer. Those interested in walking in the Stroll of
Honor can register on the Strike Out Cancer Now website:
