California Pizza Kitchen Opens Third Location in Japan

CPK Full Service Restaurant Opens in Tokyo Dome City
LOS ANGELES--(Business Wire)--
California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (CPK) (Nasdaq:CPKI), home of the
Original BBQ Chicken Pizza and other innovative hearth-baked pizzas,
made-to-order pastas, creative salads, appetizers, soups, sandwiches
and desserts, opened its third location in Japan today. A full-service
restaurant was opened by franchisee partner WDI Corporation in Tokyo
Dome City, with a satellite kiosk located inside the Tokyo Dome.

The new CPK full-service restaurant is approximately 3,000 square
feet, seats 115 people and is located in Tokyo Dome City on the
outside perimeter of the Tokyo Dome. Located in the Bunkyo Ward area,
Tokyo Dome City is an entertainment destination complete with an
amusement park, 43-story luxury hotel, world class spa and retail
shops. The restaurant, tastefully decorated with warm colors and rich
textures, will open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

The open-exhibition kitchen takes center stage where guests can
watch as all of California Pizza Kitchen's innovative dishes are
prepared. The menu features a wide variety of items including
everything from Avocado Club Egg Rolls and Shrimp Scampi Pizza to Kung
Pao Spaghetti and the award-winning Thai Crunch Salad. A special menu
is also available for children 12 and under.

In addition to the full-service restaurant, a satellite CPK kiosk
is located inside the Tokyo Dome. The 55,000-seat stadium is home
field for the Yomiuri Giants baseball team, host to numerous American
baseball, basketball and football games and home of the Japanese
Baseball Hall of Fame. The kiosk is located on the first floor of the
stadium near the third base line. The kiosk will sell three of CPK's
popular premium menu items: Original BBQ Chicken, Cheese and Pepperoni
Pizzas to the more than 7 million visitors the Tokyo Dome receives
each year.
