Photo Release -- Northrop Grumman Names David T. Perry to Lead Company's Naval
and Marine Systems Division

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Oct. 15, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman
Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has appointed David T. Perry as sector vice president and
general manager of the company's Naval & Marine Systems Division, effective
immediately.

He succeeds John V. DeMaso, who has announced his intention to retire on
November 1 after a 36-year career with the company.

In his new position, Perry will be based in Charlottesville, Va. He will have
executive responsibility for all naval and marine systems programs within
Northrop Grumman's Baltimore-based Electronic Systems sector, including
operations in Annapolis and Sykesville, Md., Sunnyvale, Calif., Melville, N.Y.,
and New Malden, U.K., as well as support operations in the United States, Europe
and Asia.

"Dave brings a wide range of leadership and technical skill sets to managing our
naval and marine businesses," said James F. Pitts, corporate vice president and
president of the company's Electronic Systems sector. "His extensive Navy
experience, along with his successful track record in developing and delivering
marine systems, makes him well-prepared to lead this division forward."

Perry joined the company in 1999 after serving with distinction in the U.S. Navy
as a nuclear-submarine officer. He has held positions in program management,
business development, and strategic planning. In 2003, he was appointed
strategic business unit director for the machinery controls and automation
business in Charlottesville. Since 2005, he has served as vice president of the
marine systems business unit in Sunnyvale.

Perry earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Duke
University and his master's degree in engineering administration from George
Washington University. While serving in the Navy, he completed nuclear
propulsion training and numerous submarine officer courses. He has also
completed the Harvard Business School Executive Education program.
