    "Building a culture that harmonizes work and personal life isn't a fad;
it's a necessity to retain and attract the best talent," said Marla Miller,
Senior Manager, Global Work/Life. "Kraft's culture fosters a work environment
that allows great moms to be great employees, too."
"I really enjoy working at Kraft," said Angela Zarazua, Senior
Administrator, Corporate and Legal Affairs. "Without a flexible work
schedule, I'm not sure how I would juggle school, doctors' appointments, child
care and all the unexpected things that happen in a house with three small
children. With convenient health services available at the office, I'm able
to take care of myself, too."
Among the benefits Kraft provides, Zarazua works out at the on-site
fitness center and gets her annual flu shot at the office. She also has
participated during work hours at company-sponsored events that promote
healthy lifestyles for young people. By facilitating volunteerism, Kraft not
only helps communities but also fulfills employees' desires to make a positive
difference where they live and work.
Kraft was selected for the 2008 Working Mother 100 Best Companies list
based on an extensive application of more than 500 questions about workforce,
compensation, child care and flexibility programs, leave policies and more.
It also checked the usage, availability and tracking of programs as well as
the accountability of managers who oversee them. Seven areas were measured
and scored: workforce profile, compensation, child care, flexibility, time
off and leaves, family-friendly programs and company culture. For this year's
100 Best, particular weight was given to family-friendly policies,
flexibility, leave policies and benefits for part-time employees.
