Bruno's and FOOD WORLD Stores Offer Safe Tomatoes

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective immediately, Bruno's
Supermarkets, LLC is restocking its produce section with tomatoes deemed safe
by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Today, after voluntarily
discontinuing sales of select tomato varieties, as determined by the FDA,
Bruno's is restocking its produce section with tomatoes from Georgia, South
Carolina and Canada, areas deemed safe by the FDA.
    For purchases made in a Bruno's, FOOD WORLD or Food Max location prior to
today, Bruno's is asking consumers to call their local store with any
questions.
    For questions about the nationwide warning, Bruno's is asking its
customers to contact the FDA at http://www.fda.gov or (888) 463-6332.
